EMPLOYEE USE OF ELECTRONIC TELECOMMUNICATION DEVICES

 

 

Except for an emergency situation involving a threat of immediate bodily injury or serious property damage, no employee or school visitor, unless authorized by the school principal or his/her designee, shall use or operate any electronic telecommunication device, including any facsimile system, radio paging service, mobile telephone service, or electro-mechanical paging system in any elementary or secondary classroom during an instructional period, or on the grounds thereof while supervising students, or in any school bus used to transport public school students.  Violators will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action by the Superintendent or the board.
