INSTRUCTIONAL ARRANGEMENTS

The Rapides Parish School Board has the responsibility to establish and maintain a minimum program of instruction for the elementary, middle, and secondary divisions of the school district.  The overall organizational plan of the school system shall be designed to facilitate the philosophy of educating every child, each to his/her fullest capacity.  The basic instructional structure of the system shall consist of three (3) main divisions -- the elementary, middle, and secondary divisions.  The elementary division will include schools with pre-K through grade five (5).  The middle division will include grades six (6) through eight (8).  The secondary division will include grades nine (9) through twelve (12).

The instructional program shall be designed to meet the standards of accreditation as required by the state education agency and to serve the needs of all students.
