                        The Rapides Parish School Board of Rapides Parish, Louisiana, met in special session at 5:30 o’clock p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Peabody Magnet High School, 2727 Jones Street in the City of Alexandria, Louisiana.

                         President Keith Breazeale called the meeting to order and on roll call the following members were present:

                                    Gerald Crooks, Vice-President 

                                    Stephen Chapman, Member 

                                    Sandra Franklin, Member 

                                    Willard McCall, Member

                                    Steve Berry, Member

Absent:                        Wilton Barrios, Member 

Absent:                        John Allen, Member   

Absent:                        Darrell Rodriguez, Member

Mr. Nason Authement, secretary for the Board, was present for the meeting.

Dear Sir/Madam:

By virtue of the authority vested in me by law and by reason of the fact that it is deemed necessary, advisable, and to the public interest that the Rapides Parish School Board be called in special session; now, therefore,

I, W. K. Breazeale, President, do hereby give notice that the said board will meet in special session at Peabody Magnet High School, 2727 Jones Street in the City of Alexandria, Louisiana, at 5:30 p.m. on

Thursday, September 27, 2018

for the purpose of considering, acting upon, deciding, and if deemed advisable, submitting the following propositions, to wit:

1.     Call to order

     2.     Roll call

     3.     Motion for the RPSB Administrative staff to provide a tour at Peabody Magnet High School of the proposed CTE program and inform the Board of the programs and course offerings of the CTE program that will be housed at that school – Dr. Stephen Chapman

Public comment was solicited prior to the vote on items during this meeting.

                        A motion was made by Mr. Steve Berry and seconded by Mr. Gerald Crooks for the RPSB Administrative staff to provide a tour at Peabody Magnet High School of the proposed CTE program and inform the Board of the programs and course offerings of the CTE program that will be housed at that school. (Item 3)       

                        President Keith Breazeale welcomed the group that was present and the tour began led by Mrs. Kim Bennett.

Pursuant to motion duly carried, the Rapides Parish School Board adjourned.
